Programme Overview
The Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MB ChB) programme at Entrance University of Health Sciences is designed to produce highly competent, ethical, and globally competitive medical doctors equipped to serve in diverse healthcare environments.
The programme integrates foundational medical sciences with progressive, hands-on clinical training delivered in accredited healthcare facilities. Upon completion, graduates are eligible for housemanship, professional licensure, and postgraduate medical specialization locally and internationally, subject to regulatory requirements.

Learning Approach
The MB ChB programme adopts a student-centred, competency-based learning approach that combines innovative teaching methods with practical clinical exposure. The programme employs:

Students are assessed through a comprehensive evaluation system, including written examinations, Objective Structured Clinical Examinations (OSCEs), practical assessments, and continuous assessment to ensure the development of both knowledge and clinical competence.
Admission Requirements
Admission requirements into the Medical School are as follows:
Applicants must have obtained three (3) credits (with at least Grade A1-C 6 in WASSCE and A-D in SSSCE) in the following core subjects:
- Mathematics
- English
- Integrated Science
In addition, applicants must have obtained three (3) credits (A1-C6 in WASSCE and A-D in SSSCE) in any three of the following elective subjects, one of which must be chemistry:
- Chemistry (Mandatory)
- Physics
- Biology
- Elective Mathematics
In addition, there will be a selection interview for admission into the programme.
International applicants and Ghanaians with External Educational Credentials acceptable for Admission include the following:
- Senior Secondary School Certificates (WASSCE/SSSCE)
- International Baccalaureate (IB)
- GCE (Cambridge) – ‘O’ and ‘A’ Levels
- IGCSE (Cambridge) – ‘O’ and ‘A’ Levels
- American High School Grade – Grades 12&13 examinations
- Other external qualifications which have equivalences to the WASSCE/SSSCE and the GCE (A Levels)
- Equivalences to WASSCE/SSSCE in all cases shall be determined by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).
General Entry Requirements for other Educational Credentials
- IGCSE/IB – To be admitted to the Programme, IGCSE/IB holders must possess at least Grades A*/A-C in English, Mathematics and Biology at the Standard (SL/’O’ Level), in addition to three Higher Level (HL-A to C)/’A’ Level (A to d)/IB2 (A-C) grades in Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Mathematics.

Applicants holding first degrees:
Applicants holding a good first degree in Sciences, Mathematics, as well as degrees in related health professions from a recognized University will also qualify for consideration.

Tuition fees are payable in Ghanaian Cedis, except for foreign applicants.
Ghanaian Applicants:
GHS 47,250.00 – (per semester)
International Applicants:
USD 5,000.00 – (per semester)
