About the Library
Welcome to the Entrance University of Health Sciences (EUHS) Library, a cornerstone of academic excellence and intellectual growth within our institution. As a specialized health sciences library, we are committed to supporting the teaching, learning, research, and clinical training needs of our students, faculty, and staff.
Our library provides access to a rich and carefully curated collection of both print and digital resources tailored to the health sciences. From core textbooks and peer-reviewed medical and pharmaceutical journals to multimedia materials and subscription-based databases, our holdings are designed to support evidence-based learning and interdisciplinary scholarship across all programmes at EUHS.
At the heart of our service is a team of skilled and approachable library professionals who are dedicated to guiding users in accessing and utilizing information effectively. Whether you need assistance locating specialized resources, conducting literature searches, or refining your research skills, our staff is readily available to support you. We also offer structured information literacy training and research workshops to equip students with the critical competencies required for academic and professional success in the health sector.
The EUHS Library also provides a conducive and flexible learning environment, featuring quiet study zones, collaborative workspaces, and multimedia facilities to accommodate diverse study preferences. Our spaces are designed to foster both independent learning and group engagement.

Head Librarian
Dr. Mrs. Theodosia S. A. Adanu is an accomplished academic librarian with over 30 years of progressive experience in library management. She holds a PhD in Information Science from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and advanced degrees (MPhil and Post-Graduate Diploma) in Library Studies from the University of Ghana.
Dr. Adanu has led major initiatives in library automation, research commons establishment and e-resource management. She has also served in key leadership positions, including College Librarian at the College of Health Sciences and University Librarian, both at the University of Ghana.
She served as a part time lecturer in the University of Ghana Medical School and various departments in the university of Ghana. These include the Department of Information Studies, Department of Audiology-School of Basic and Allied Health Sciences and Department of Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
She has facilitated numerous workshops across Africa and for professional associations. She currently serves as a resource person for the Pan African Doctoral Academy (PADA) and is a member of the Ghana Medical Journal Editorial Board.
Dr. Adanu has been honoured with two awards, the 2022 Grand Prize Osmosis ‘Raise the Line’ Faculty Award and the 2023 UpToDate Champions Exemplar Award, for her impactful contributions to health education and library services.

The library is opened from Monday to Saturday to serve the needs of our users.
Mondays – Fridays – 8: 00am – 9:45pm
Saturdays – 9:00am – 1:45pm
Vacation Period – 8:00 am – 5:00pm
