Training the Next Generation of Healthcare Professionals
Reverend Professor Peter Ohene Kyei is a seasoned academic, administrator, and minister with over four decades of experience in higher education and leadership. His career spans teaching, institutional management, and service within both academia and the Church.
He served as Rector of Pentecost University College for eight years and previously spent over two decades at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) as a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Geography and Rural Development. At KNUST, he contributed significantly to university governance through his roles on key boards and committees, including the Academic Board and the College of Arts and Social Sciences.
Rev. Prof. Kyei has also served as a Council Member of Christian Service University College and has been actively involved in shaping academic programmes and institutional development. In addition to his academic work, he was called into full-time ministry with the Church of Pentecost, where he served as a Pastor.
A respected scholar, he has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, co-authored “NGOs and the State in the 21st Century: Ghana and India,” and authored “Decentralization and Poverty Alleviation in Rural Ghana (Does Decentralization Serve the Poor? – The Ghanaian Experience).” He has also presented at numerous local and international conferences.
